As a Partner at Cherry Bekaert, Janette is the not-for-profit outsourced accounting services lead. She brings over 30 years of experience in all facets of audit, compliance, tax and consulting services for the not-for-profit industry to her role. Janette focuses on serving private schools, charitable, membership and trade associations, Political Action Committees, and organizations with significant international operations and/or federal funding. She has extensive expertise in U.S. GAAP, GAAS and OMB, and has worked with clients on indirect rate structures and agreements, joint and other expense allocations, multi-entity and for-profit subsidiaries, and internal control assessments and guidance.

Janette works with accounting departments, senior management, and boards of directors in many areas, including governance, fiduciary responsibility, risk management, and revenue recognition for contributions, grants, and contracts. She assists her clients with understanding financial statements and reports and the implementation of new accounting standards.

Prior to joining our team, Janette was a partner in the Not-for-Profit practice at a national accounting and advisory firm for over 20 years, specializing in federally funded tax-exempt organizations. She managed compliance and program audit engagements for several schools, as well as organizations with federal funding.
