George has more than 25 years of experience advising clients in large-scale technology and organizational transformation initiatives. As Managing Director of Cherry Bekaert's Digital Advisory practice, George works alongside firm leadership to identify and develop new, innovative digital solutions aligned to client needs across target industries. He has experience across multiple industries including public sector, security and justice, healthcare & life sciences, government contracting and professional services.
His areas of specialization include technology transformation, business applications, analytics, process re-engineering, ERP, shared services, operational improvement, IT consolidation, agile development and program management. George is also experienced in sales and business development, account management, public sector operations, relationship management, strategy development and staff leadership.
Prior to joining Cherry Bekaert, George was a client service partner for a consulting firm, where he helped the organization create and grow its federal practice, and provided modern cloud and automation technology solutions. George also held various leadership and partner positions with an accounting firm, where he led the Government Strategic Business Unit, the Information Technology Service Line and the Security & Justice Segment.
Earlier in his career, George held leadership roles at a Big Four accounting firm and other consulting firms. George has testified before Congress on Federal IT Reform, been featured on Government Matters, had guest appearances on multiple radio programs and taught shared services & IT portfolio management.
George currently serves on the Board for the Association of Federal Information Resources Management, formerly served as a Chair for the Grant Thornton/Professional Services Council Federal CIO survey and previously led the Federal Committee for the Information Technology Association of America/Comptia.
