Nina McAvoy is an Advisory Senior Manager focused on leading SOC 1 and SOC 2 examinations and readiness assessments for a wide variety of clients and related systems within the professional services, financial services, and technology industries, including advanced application software platforms, managed security service providers, and data centers. She also has taken on advisory roles in the community, serving as the Treasurer for Habitat for Humanity of Northern Fox Valley since September 2023.

Prior to joining Cherry Bekaert via acquisition, Nina was an Audit Manager at an award-winning mid-sized CPA and business advisory firm based in the Chicagoland area for seven years. In addition to SOC 1 and SOC 2 examinations, Nina led financial statement attestation engagements for several large nonprofit organizations, including trade associations, social services, religious organizations, and private and public foundations, as well as a variety of mid-sized commercial manufacturing companies.
