With more than 20 years of experience as an NFP tax professional, Melanie advises organizations throughout their life cycles. She is committed to helping NFPs navigate the tax laws to protect their tax-exempt statuses and assets, allowing them to concentrate on fulfilling their missions and exempt purposes. Melanie's focuses include public charities, private and corporate foundations, charitable trusts, pension trusts and Voluntary Employees' Beneficiary Association plans (VEBAs) across various industries – including educational institutions, healthcare and hospital systems, financial services institutions, manufacturing, and high-net-worth individuals.

Prior to joining Cherry Bekaert, Melanie was a Senior Manager with a Big Four firm's exempt organization tax services practice. With her extensive knowledge and dedication to serving Not-for-Profit organizations, she is a valuable and trusted advisor for NFPs across various industries.
