Chris Grimes is a Director in Cherry Bekaert’s Sales and Use Tax practice, where he leads the firm’s Tax Technology Solutions group. In this role, Chris advises clients on the design, implementation, and optimization of sales tax technology environments, including tax engine implementations, system assessments, and integration strategies across billing, ERP, and e‑commerce platforms. He also leads the firm’s internal tool development group, focusing on the creation of scalable, technology‑enabled solutions that enhance delivery, improve consistency, and support defensible sales tax processes for both clients and internal teams.

Chris specializes in serving companies in the technology, manufacturing, and ecommerce industries and provides a broad range of sales and use tax consulting services, including evaluations of multistate sales tax obligations, exposure and risk assessments, mitigation and remediation strategies, ongoing compliance support, and audit defense. He has over 15 years of experience practicing sales and use tax and is both a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Member of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation.
