As a Senior Manager at Cherry Bekaert, Joe leads the
Project Finance team within the Firm's Strategic
Financing Services group. With more than 12 years of
New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) experience, Joe has
experience closing a wide variety of transactions
across the country. Using this depth of knowledge, Joe
provides his clients with expertise and advice on the
technical requirements of NMTCs, how to position and
market transaction to the NMTC industry, and guides
them through the closing process.

Prior to joining Cherry Bekaert, Joe was an Assistant
Director with the Impact Finance division at an
American bank holding company and major NMTC
investor. During his time there, Joe was initially
responsible for the closings of NMTC transactions, and
later lead a team of NMTC closers and asset
managers. During his time as a closer, Joe directly
worked on over 96 transaction that invested over $380
million in Federal NMTC equity. Additionally, Joe's
team of deal closers completed 101 transactions to
advance $326 million of Federal NMTC equity. Joe's
team of asset managers were directly responsible for
the active compliance management of over 130 deals,
representing nearly $500 million of federal NMTC
investments.

At the Firm, Joe attracts a diverse group of clients who
are seeking NMTC financing to help complete their
project. These partnerships have resulted in successful
NMTC closing for clients based across the country, in
