Overview

Join us for an insightful workshop on creative capital stacks, including tax equity, bridge loans, and other less traditional financing tools to get deals done. Whether you're looking to explore capital project funding in the industrial manufacturing, not-for-profit, or real estate and construction sectors, this session is designed for you.

Many of these sources were created to revitalize low-income communities or transform underutilized assets by encouraging investments in a diverse array of businesses, fostering job creation and enhancing access to community resources. In this workshop, we'll demystify tax credits such as Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC), Historic Tax Credit (HTC), New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) and Opportunity Zones (OZ), along with companion capital sources, guiding you through the process, eligibility criteria and the benefits they offer.

Because of the complexities associated with these tools, it's important for sponsors to understand the factors that influence project funding success. Our team will walk through the nuances, pain points, timelines and essential concepts of transactions to help you navigate the process with confidence.

By the end of this course, participants will:

  • Understand the breadth of the various tax credit programs
  • Identify strategic uses of working capital funds
  • Learn how site selection influences the financing package
  • Explore funding strategies and the requirements for successful deals

Who Should Join?

This session is ideal for not-for-profits, developers, lenders and business leaders exploring new funding strategies while planning facility expansions, real estate development or community-focused initiatives.
