As a Senior Manager in Cherry Bekaert's Strategic Financing Services practice, Jason focuses on providing strategic growth advisory services to community development entities and start-up companies. Jason assists community organizations with formalizing their organizational framework and navigating the landscape of available financing sources. He has over ten years of community development finance experience, specializing in community development financing, including capital investments utilizing New Markets Tax Credits (NMTCs), Historic Tax Credits (HTCs), and numerous other federal, state, and local credits and incentives.

Before joining Cherry Bekaert, Jason worked for a large regional bank, during which he was responsible for partnering with and underwriting CDFIs and CDEs for lending and investment opportunities. Jason began his career as a staff auditor performing audit engagements for not-for-profit, governmental, and Low-Income Housing Tax Credit clients.

Julia is an Application Writing Manager at Cherry Bekaert, specializing in community development finance with a focus on the New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) program. Julia leads strategic planning, application drafting and review and compliance support to align projects with both regulatory requirements and community impact goals. She collaborates closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver solutions that are financially sound and socially meaningful.

With nearly two decades of experience in community development consulting, Julia has worked with a wide range of organizations — including nonprofits, banks and municipal development departments — to support under-resourced communities across the country. Julia's experience with the NMTC program has contributed to securing over $1 billion in awards aimed at revitalizing low-income areas through private investment and economic development.

Prior to joining Cherry Bekaert, Julia held roles focusing on economic development, financial structuring and policy implementation. Julia has partnered with mission-driven organizations and financial institutions to design and execute community investment strategies. These experiences continue to shape Julia's approach to consulting and reinforce her commitment to equitable and sustainable development.
